As part of the Marketing Skills Council at Narmada College of Management, Bharuch, we organized the first lecture on Issues in Sales and Distribution in the Publishing Industry by Shri Gaurav Gagwani, Senior Territory Manager, Pearson India. Since he was already on his sales call to the College, his live experience sharing about work made the lecture very interesting.

He shared his six years of experience in the publishing industry, the various sales related issues like Recruitment and Selection, Sales Training, Territory Allocation, Performance Evaluation, Reporting and Appraisal systems and Compensation and Incentives in the publishing industry.

Talking about his experiences related to distribution management he shared his insights related to problems with the distributors, policies and practices involved in working with distributors and retailers in publishing.

He also shared his experience of planning his sales call, follow up involved in the sales job, frustrations and the joys of the sales job. The Marketing class enjoyed this session thoroughly.

Student participation in Solvay India Open House

Venue : Solvay Specialities India Pvt Ltd, Panoli Date     :     13 Dec 2017     As per the invitation from Solvay Specialities Pvt Ltd, 8 students and 2 faculties from Narmada college of Management participated in the “Open House” event organised by Solvay, on 13 th of December. Dr Chetna Makwana (associate professor) and Prof Rashmi Ghamawala (assistant professor) along with 8 students (from different specialisation) visited the company. The event started sharp at 10 am, where students and faculties of different colleges of Bharuch district were present, namely, SVMIT, KJ Polytechnic etc, along with the employees and staff of Solvay. All the participants were welcomed by Pratish Koparkar, who warmly welcome with his delightful words and starting off the briefing about various safety measures that need to be taken care of. ADANI INDUSTRIAL VISIT -2017 AT MUNDRA VENUE: Adani ltd. Then  we visited first adani port there we were guide how the port work  how the import export is been done. Then we visited to Adani wilmar ltd where they showed us process and packing of different oil product Then we visited adani temple & then we followed by dinner Then cultural event was held which was organized by NCM student  Day 2 We were gathered at 6.30am at common hall for yoga and laughing session Then we went to visit to Adani power ltd were they provided information how the power is been produced and a company visit was been given by them Then by around 1 pm we were departed from Shanti Vihar to
