Students' Participation in Business Plan Competition

On February 25th 2017, Our college has been participated in state level Inter-college Business Plan competition named “Stratastical - The Startup Battle” at S R Luthra College of Management, Sarvajanik Education Society,  Surat. There were several entries from different Management Institute of Gujarat.  After first round, top five teams were selected from them. In these top five teams, three teams from Narmada College of Management was chosen for final battle. Two other teams were from S S Agrawal and S R Luthra itself.

The top five teams were mentored by the mentor allotted based on the sector in which their plan lies. Our College students were mentor by Sanjay Bhamwala (Owner, Atithi Resort), Jigar Desai (Brand Incept, Surat) and Siddharth Shah (Rudraksha Enterprise, Surat).

Each team were given time of 20 minutes and 10 minutes for Question answer round. The judges were Apoorva Vora and Kashyap Pandya. They were specially invited as judge from Mumbai who have experience more than 30 years in their respective fields.

It was very difficult for judges for deciding the winner and runner up for the completion as completion was so tough. But they selected two teams, First Plan i.e Delicious Bunny- have Group member Chaitali Patel, Vrunda Joshi, Mubbasira Patel and Amrin Khilji. The second plan i.e Aumentar Technologies have group member are Bhavin Hirani, Fenil Modi, Nirali Thakkar, Jisha john were selected as Winner and Runner Up respectively.
            
The Students were awarded with trophies and 1000 Rs to winner team and 750 Rs to the Runner up team. It was a very tough competition, great learning experience with other groups as well as from all mentors allotted to each team and respective judges. ​

Students Participation in "All India Essay Writing Event 2016"

Our students Ms. Fatema Ibrahim Surti and Ms. Sashista A. Chauhan participated in  "All India Essay Writing Event 2016" organised by Shri Ram Chandra Mission, United Nation Information Center for India and Bhutan, and The Heartfulness Institute.

Student participation in Solvay India Open House

Venue : Solvay Specialities India Pvt Ltd, Panoli Date     :     13 Dec 2017     As per the invitation from Solvay Specialities Pvt Ltd, 8 students and 2 faculties from Narmada college of Management participated in the “Open House” event organised by Solvay, on 13 th of December. Dr Chetna Makwana (associate professor) and Prof Rashmi Ghamawala (assistant professor) along with 8 students (from different specialisation) visited the company. The event started sharp at 10 am, where students and faculties of different colleges of Bharuch district were present, namely, SVMIT, KJ Polytechnic etc, along with the employees and staff of Solvay. All the participants were welcomed by Pratish Koparkar, who warmly welcome with his delightful words and starting off the briefing about various safety measures that need to be taken care of.
